Christmas Trees – Delivery Terms
Nightfreight are our couriers.
They have a policy to only attempt delivery once to each address.
This means that if you are not there, they will return the tree to us but they will still make a charge for the delivery, we reserve the right to pass that charge on to you.
If you have any special delivery instructions, e.g. Please leave the tree in the front garden, please attach a note to your front door with those instructions on and remember to sign the note or e-mail them to us via the contact us form on this site or via the e-mail address that you will receive when your order is placed.
Thank you for your understanding of this situation, it is outside of our control. Delivery and collection costs are included in the price you see on our Web Page. We ask in the spirit of being environmentally friendly that all trees are well cared for over Christmas period but understand that accidents do happen, at the present time we do not ask for any deposit against damage but would ask that you please inform us of any damage as it may not be ecological for us to collect the tree after the Christmas period. Where possible we use green couriers but due to the high volume of demand especially at peak times this is not always possible hence in order to meet Clients Delivery Dates we have also been forced to use nationwide couriers. We will endeavour to make sure that all orders are dispatched to met your preferred date, however due to reasons beyond our control this is not always possible. We ask you for your understanding at this busy time of year. Christmas Tree Man will inform you if we know of any expected delays or problems. We suggest when placing your order you allow a minimum of at least 3 days before you need your tree to ensure you receive it in plenty of time. Deliveries will only be left unattended without a signature if you give us permission to do so. Goods are always left at your own risk and we cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss of your goods. If delivery is not to your ‘Front Door’ please advise us by e-mail instructions for the driver as to where to leave your tree, this can be at an adjoining neighbour the side of your house or rear garden should you be unable to take delivery in person. Please leave the required access and advise any neighbour to keep a look out. Please ensure you leave a telephone number so we can contact you during the daytime if we are experiencing difficulties delivering your tree. All Christmas trees are netted for protection which you will need to remove on receipt. Delivery personnel are not contracted to install your Christmas tree in your house or remove any packaging. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday between 8.30am to 5pm, no deliveries cannot be made on a Sunday and deliveries on Saturday would be subject to a Surcharge of £20. On delivery of your Christmas Tree please check for any problem or missing accessory before signing. Should there be a problem please note it on the driver’s ticket. If you wish to sign for your tree and you are out our courier will leave a card to inform you of the failed delivery attempt. The courier will attempt to deliver on two further occasions, after this you will be charged for the return of your goods. Information left on the card will allow you to contact the courier to discuss any re-attempt of delivery. If items become separated during transit and you refuse delivery of any part of an incomplete package you may not receive any outstanding items on your order as refusal of one item may be deemed to be refusal of the whole consignment. Please sign for the order noting any missing items. Our Collection Policy will start after the 12 Days of Christmas. To retain a viable business-model trees will be collected in batches across the country and we will advise on our Web Site the collection dates for your area. In any interim period between collection and removal of your tree from your house please place the tree in its pot in your garden, should this not possible, for example you live in an apartment please advise us directly by e-mail or telephone. Christmas Tree Man reserves the right to amend all delivery conditions at their discretion and without notice. Please read our full terms and conditions. Last delivery date for 2009 is the 23rd of December. |
